I'm going to assume you are referencing Romans 12:20.

This verse is about loving and doing good for your enemy instead of taking revenge. The hope is your kindness will help bring about their repentance.
KJV Romans 12:20


20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
