Suicide and salvation

Let me ask you this, if you die with an unrepented sin, are you still forgiven? I believe you are. Each of us has all kinds of sin big and small that goes unrepented of every day. And the blood of Jesus covers all of it. That's not an excuse to sin, but if we are honest with ourselves, we have a lot more of it than we'd like to believe. That's the beauty of the cross, my friend. Is suicide some kind of unique or unforgivable sin? The Bible certainly doesn't say it is. Praise God that where sin increases, grace abounds all the more.
NASB Romans 5:20
20The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,

Thanks Chris. I've only been "saved" for 3 years and couldn't find scripture to re-assure a friend that is going through the loss of as loved one through suicide. I will include your comment and scripture in my sympathy card. It was a great help! Blessings, Meggie

You're welcome, Meggie. I'll say a prayer for your friend. That has to be such a tough thing to be going through. Glad you are there to help her.
